2010 GROUP FITNESS EVALUATION FORM

Introducing Indoor Cycling!
This 40-minute instructor-led class takes place on an ultra smooth stationary bike.  You are taken on a mental and physical journey that urges you on to new levels of strength and endurance.  The combination of music, motivation and your fellow riders makes this class unique and results oriented.  A water bottle and towel are strongly recommended.

Together with your Total Health Trainer you will:

  •  Develop Total Health Goals that are realistic for you.
  • Apply the FITT principle into your fitness program, to get started and keep you going.
  • Learn how to use the equipment you will use at the beginning of your program.

Total Health Appointments can be held in the POOL & done for your FAMILY as a group.

Personal Health Training
This program is meant to complement our Total Health Appointments.
This is for any members needing specific& intensive assistance in designing and sticking to your health & fitness goals. During the first one on one session we will set goals & an action plan for improving your health and fitness. Then meet weekly for the number of weeks you chose to evaluate your plan & one on one workout sessions. These sessions will provide you with the knowledge to hold yourself accountable for your health & fitness.

Package options:  (after the first 1 hour initial training, each session can be divided into half hour’s)
 $80 – 2 hours  $110- 3 hours $150- 4hours

 The Woodruff Family YMCA is pleased to offer the SilverSneakers® Fitness Program. SilverSneakers is the nation’s leading exercise program designed exclusively for older adults and is available at no additional cost (beyond any monthly premium) to eligible Medicare health plan and group retiree members.  Eligible members have a complimentary membership to the Woodruff Family YMCA. Youth/Parent Cardio Orientation
This is a program for 10 & 11 year olds. It consists of one 1-hour appointment with a Total Health Trainer. They will teach the youth how to safely and effectively use the cardiovascular equipment, only. Upon completion the youth will be able to use the cardio equipment when accompanied by an adult. Note: depending on the youths height they may not safely fit on some of the equipment. The trainer will determine this.

Youth/Parent Fitness Orientation
Orientations designed for youth 12 & 13 years old with a parent/guardian. A Total Health Trainer will instruct participants on how to safely and effectively use the Cardio & Nautilus equipment. Upon completion of the four sessions, the youth will be allowed to use the fitness center when accompanied by the adult.

Yoga Kids
This class is for youth 6 – 13 years old. Parents are welcome to participate if they would like. Yoga can increase attention span for kids in addition to improving stamina, flexibility, strength and it is fun.

One on One Relaxation Sessions
During this 30 minute session you will relax your body, mind and spirit with stretching, breathing, progressive relaxation
and guided visualization.
Fee: $25.00.   Bring a Friend $20.00 each (Members)

Water Fitness
Aquacize
– This class uses controlled, stationary non-impact exercises and water walking to improve muscular strength, flexibility and agility.
Aqua Aerobics – Have fun & improve your fitness level during this shallow water class.
H2O Power – Feel your power as you improve both cardiovascular and muscular strength in the deep end of the pool. You must wear a flotation belt for this class.
Liquid Cardio – Get yourself move’n in this class while you are getting a total body workout in shallow water.

Land Fitness
Cardio Box – This Cardio class will use boxing moves on the floor & the bag to get you moving & feel empowered.
Mind/Body Fusion – This class will be a fusion or Yoga, Pilates, Qigong to improve strength, range of motion and posture. This class can also reduce stress and relax.
Strength Challenge – Target all your major muscle groups utilizing an interval format of strength/cardio burst and a variety of equipment.
Step – Cardio workout using the step.
Strength Training – Strengthen the whole body using a variety of equipment.
Step & Strength – This class will use intervals of step and strength training to help you get your weekend off to a great start.
Yoga – A combination of Ashtanga & Iyengar methods. This class will emphasize the use of meditation & discussion to help quiet your mind & focus you’re thought during the execution of the postures. All levels welcome in both classes! Approximately the first 20-30 minutes of this class are meditation/ discussion – with posture work following.
Zumba – Come try the workout that is more like a party! This is a class that uses low-impact dancing to up beat Caribbean style music that will keep you moving and smiling.

FEES*:
All fitness classes are included in membership.
Non-members fees are as follows:
Drop in Fee $12.00 (This is a pay-as-you-go option for those who are unable to commit to an entire eight session.)
Eight week session $80.00
*The fee must be paid before going into class. Please show your receipt to the instructor.
