The YMCA Is a Vital Part of the 25 towns we serve
Funds raised for the Central Connecticut Coast YMCA provide direct financial assistance for children, families and individuals to participate in their YMCA. From our summer camps and afterschool programs, to teen leadership and senior wellness, the YMCA provides a comprehensive array of health and human services. Whether you give to the annual campaign, to a building campaign or to the endowment fund, you can make an impact.
YMCA Strong Kids Campaign
Since our founding, the Central Connecticut Coast YMCA has been dedicated to making a positive impact in people’s lives through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. We see it happen every day.
But we haven’t done it alone. Community leaders, businesses and Y members give to the Strong Kids Campaign to ensure we never turn anyone away due to an inability to pay. Our annual campaign provides the funds needed to make programs available, provide recreational learning and life-enhancing experiences that build strong kids, strong families and strong communities. For the past 152 years, our communities have come to rely on us for child care, summer camp, physical education, supportive housing, scholarships for seniors, and other programs that help children and allow adults to grow and thrive regardless of age, income, gender, or background.
Last year, our Y reached out and helped more than 21,475 people across greater Bridgeport, greater New Haven and the lower Naugatuck Valley. Through donations from people like you, we provided $2.94 million in subsidized or free programs and services that foster youth development, promote healthy living, and encourage social responsibility.
Together, we can continue to build and strengthen our community by empowering people. Please make a gift for your community today.
Significant financial contributions by individuals and companies ensure that the Central Connecticut Coast YMCA facilities and signature community programs continue to meet the growing needs of our communities. A major gift may be directed towards a specific program or facility at a donor’s request.
Gift Planning and Endowment
One of the most enduring gifts is a legacy gift. A planned gift provides long-lasting impact in the community.
Your planned gift to the Central Connecticut Coast YMCA helps us promote the spiritual, mental, physical, and social development of individuals through the values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility.
The possibilities are endless. For more information about how you or your company can make a difference, contact Pam Hearn, Vice President of Financial Development at (203) 777-9622 for more information.
