Teen Center 1Team sports at the Y build character and self-esteem. Participants cultivate values, skills and relationships that lead to positive behaviors, better health and educational achievement. Kids will not only learn the fundamentals and how to work together on a team, but also who they are and what they can achieve.

Our programs include parent child, pre-school, youth, special needs and teen enrichment programs.  We offer dance, music, a sports sampler, tennis, basketball, softball, soccer, theatre, crafting, and more.  We also offer more advanced classes for children who have taken our sports classes before.

Y Stands For Youth

Youth in our Branch Wellness Center


Our Youth Wellness Orientation Bracelet Program is  designed for youth members ages 10-13 who would like to use our Wellness Center while their parent is in the room.  Youth will be given FREE trainings with one of our Wellness Coaches to learn about each aspect of the Wellness Center.  Youth members will learn proper technique, safety and etiquette of gym fitness.  Schedule your appointment today at the Member Welcome Center.

Wellness Center:  Yellow Bracelet

Youth members 10-13 years of age are permitted to exercise on the cardiovascular equipment with a parent after completing a free orientation with a Wellness Coach.  The youth member must wear a yellow wristband when working out in the Branch.

Wellness Center:  Blue Bracelet

Youth members 12-13 years of age are permitted to exercise on the strength equipment with a parent after completing a free orientation with a Wellness Coach.  The youth member must wear a blue wristband when working out in the Branch.  Prerequisite:  Must have completed yellow bracelet training.

Project Funway

Could you be the next top designer?  Using a variety of media, make new designs, learn new skills such as sewing, jewelry making, and more!  Get a chance to showcase the clothing and jewelry created at the end of the session! Location: Program Room  Instructor: Laura

Ever make gooey slime or your own bubbles?  Come perform fun science experiments from explosions of volcanoes to making your own ice cream and so much more! Through projects and experiments, participants will learn that science is fun!  Instructor: Laura  Location: Program Room

The Zumba® Kids program is the ultimate dance-fitness party for young Zumba fans, where they can play it loud and rock with friends to their own rules! This program features age-appropriate music and moves that get kids movin’ to the beat. It’s all about feeling fearless on the dance floor, reinforcing the idea that it’s okay to just be yourself and dance like no one’s watching!  Instructor: Martha     Location: Multipurpose Room

Zumba® Kids Jr. classes are a dance ‘n’ play party for lil’ feet where pint-sized party animals get silly, dream big and begin their journey to a healthy future. This program is where 4 to 6 year-olds just let loose and be themselves – little bundles of natural energy that are endlessly curious about new sounds and experiences! Learn the basics of soccer while having fun and practicing with friends! Each week will be dedicated to learning a different skill and each session will conclude with a game. Your child will have fun mastering old skills and learning new ones. Every participant will get a Y ball!

Doodle Bugs

The perfect opportunity for your child to express their creative side!  Each week children will create their own projects and listen to music.  Your child will be proud to be a creative kid!  Location: Community Room

You & Me Baby

Both parents and children will enjoy this bonding exercise program time by participating in stretches, tumbling, and activity time with other parents and  children.  Location: Program Room

Dance Technique Workshop

Intro to Acting

Self-confidence, creative expression and fun, there is lots to be gained by participating in this new program. Participants will play theater games and practice acting skills.    Location: Community Room   Instructor: Laura

No Bake Cooking

A class to help motivate and teach our young chefs! The children will make a different healthy snack each week and will bring home exciting recipes to try at home!  Location: Program Room Instructor: Dawn

Youth Basketball Clinic

Learn to play the fabulous game of basketball! Develop the necessary skills too succeed through drills, fun games and scrimmages at the end of each session. Location: Sliney School

Martial Arts

A fun way to develop respect for yourself and for others. Traditional teaching methods of martial arts will help to increase flexibility, control weight, and enhance fitness.  This class explores fundamentals of Judo and self-defense basics. Exercise your mind and body.

Youth Tennis

Learn the basics of tennis while having fun! We use the rules and guidelines from USTA’s Quick Start program which helps teach the game of tennis while allowing all the participants to feel successful. Location: Sliney School

Tumbling combines strength, power, agility and coordination that is used in a variety of sports that one would not expect. Your child will work on basic locomotion skills as well as the basics of gymnastics such as forward rolls, backward rolls, handstands and so much more!

Ages:  4-6

When:   Wednesdays from 5:15-6:00pm & Saturdays 9:30-10:15am

Let’s Make Music

Instrument Lessons

Music benefits are countless! Enjoy the sound of music while taking one of Debra Kay Levi’s music classes. Debra is a professional instructor with over 25 years experience.  Multiple level of instruction  make these classes perfect for the beginner, intermediate, or advanced student.  Members: $40.

Keyboard Lessons:  Learn notes, songs, and all the basics of playing the keyboard.  Monday 6:15-7:00pm

Guitar Lessons:  Notes, chords, strumming, picking, and much more are introduced in this class.  Tuesday 6:45-7:30pm

Drum Lessons:  Learn how to play or improve your drumming skills with step-by-step instruction.   Monday 7:00-7:45pm

Our specialty parties are designed to make your child’s party the BEST EVER! We offer party packages to fit everyone’s needs. Our parties provide you with an hour of a specialty activity and an hour in our party room. A host is provided to help make your party run smoothly. Parties offered on Saturday and Sundays.
