Halloween Hip Hop For a Cause

Join us to raise $1,000 so we can dance and sweat in Paulette’s Cardio Hip Hop class with Paulette and our Executive Director, Matt LaPrino! He’ll be in costume — how about you? Every dollar raised will be for Y scholarships – so that others in our community can enjoy the Lakewood-Trumbull Y and classes like Cardio Hip Hop.

Donate $10? $20?  It’s going to be the best class ever! Donations can be made with cash or check to the Lakewood-Trumbull Y.

As a New Y Member, we would like you to achieve your wellness goals and get the most out of your Y investment.  Please sign up for F.I.T. (Free Introductory Training) Sessions so that we can help you get started.

  • Time to get to know each other. Your dedicated F.I.T. Coach is here to serve you!
  • Understanding your goals and expectations together so that we can develop an action plan to ensure your success.
  • Answer any questions you may have about wellness, equipment and our facility.
  • Teach some basic tips so you can hit the ground running.
  • Review your progress toward your wellness goals and expectations. Offer some innovative tips to help you progress even faster and discuss potential barriers.
  • Start working towards your wellness goals and having some fun!
  • An introduction to our Personal Training Program.

Workout, Stroll Outside, Run with Baby

STROLLER MOMS

At our Family Outdoor Center, this functional, total body conditioning workout is designed for moms with kids in tow.  Each 60 minute session includes strength training, cardio and core work.

WHEN:  Tuesdays, September 4-October 23 at 10:30

FEES:  Members $45, Community Members $90

 

 


Push, Challenge, Stretch Yourself

Obstacle Race Training Program

Our 8 week training program will get you ready, toughen you up, and push you in ways you have never thought possible. Once, twice, or three times a week, you’ll learn to run, to flip tires, to climb walls, to pull weights, in preparation of your first Spartan Race or Tough Mudder, or just because you want the challenge.

When:  Wednesdays 9:30-10:30, Fridays 9:30-10:30, Saturdays 8:15-9:15 September 5—October 27

Location:  Family Program Center on Trefoil Drive, Trumbull CT

Fees: $60 Facility members / $120 Community Members

 


Defend Together

DEFEND TOGETHER

This is a gripping hour that burns a ton of calories and builds total body strength. Tap into the newest mixed martial arts movements done at a rapid-fire pace to smash your cardio fitness.  This workout combines cutting-edge moves with thrilling music.

Cycle Together

Cycle Together is a huge calorie burner. It’s a 60-minute cycling experience brought indoors. Chase the pack, spin the flats, climb mountains and sprint to the finish. Feel the thrill of energetic music and group dynamics as you get all the benefits of interval training.

Run Yourself Fit!

We have a group for you!

Running Group Tuesday and Friday at 9:15am.  All levels welcome – 30-45 minute run outside on the beautiful trails. Leave the kids in Child Watch and go for it.


Balance & Flex Together

Balance & Flex Together will grow you longer and stronger with an invigorating 60-minute mind-body workout.  It incorporates yoga and Pilates fundamentals with athletic training for balance, mobility, flexibility and the core. Strength Train Together

Strength Train TogetherLift. Press. Curl. Get Stronger and Power Up!

Strength Train Together will blast all your muscles with a high-rep weight training workout. Using an adjustable barbell, weight plates and body weight, the workout combines squats, lunges, presses, and curls with functional integrated exercises.  Dynamic music and a motivating group atmosphere will get your heart rate up, make you sweat, and push you to a personal best! Getting Started Details

Stay Active, Be Healthy, Keep Having Fun

Silver Sneaker Members

We are glad that you are being active and having fun with friends here at the Y!  To help you stick with it we offer a loyality program.

Pick up a new Silver Sneakers Loyalty Card each month. Have it punched each day you come to the Y to get moving. At the end of the month if you have 10 punches turn it in your card. You will have a chance to win a gift card from a local merchant!


Nutrition Counseling

The Lakewood-Trumbull Y Nutrition Counselors will help you discover how to manage your weight, be heart healthy, lessen the risk of chronic diseases and optimize your energy.  The sessions are one-on-one sessions.  For more information contact Joanne Orenstein P 203 445 9633 ext 19
