American Red Cross Babysitting training course

To provide youth who are planning to babysit with the knowledge and skills necessary to safely and responsibly give care for children and infants. This training will help participants to develop leadership skills; learn how to develop a babysitting business, keep themselves and others safe and help children behave; and learn about basic child care and basic first aid. The recommended age for this course is 11-15 years old. This class will be taught at the Lakewood-Trumbull YMCA Family Outdoor Center.

Class 1: July 27 & July 28 10:00am—3:00pm

Class 2: August 17 & August 18 10:00am-3:00pm

Summer Day Camp

Summer is an ideal time for children to get out and explore.  A chance to enjoy recreational and educational activities that help them learn, grow and thrive. Do you remember your best summer ever? Was your best summer a combination of exploration, activity, education, friends and fun? For families looking to keep their children’s minds and bodies active, the Y can  give them an adventurous, active and healthy summer.

CAMP TEPEE AND GYMNASTICS CAMP provides a fun and unique experience that gives children and teens the opportunity to explore, meet new friends, discover new interests and create memories that last a lifetime.

To register, please fill out the documents and bring them to the Y!  2018 Day Camp_Gymnastics_Clinic Summer Registration Packet.  If your child will require special assistance or medicine while at camp, these forms may also be required: Individual Care Plan_Medicine Authorization

If your child is 14-15 years of age, they may be interested in our Counselor in Training program. School Age Child Care – Before and After School Programs

You can relax knowing that with us, your kids are getting their daily dose of fun, homework assistance, character development, cultural enrichment and fitness at the Y, and at a price every family can afford. Multiple child discounts are available. We also offer financial  assistance and accept Care4Kids.

Family Registration Fee : $60 non – refundable. This is an annual fee due at the time of registration. Tuition listed below is a monthly rate.

Before and Afterschool located in:  Fawn Hollow Elementary and Stepney Elementary

Time: Drop off for the before school program is 7:00am. Our after school program run from school dismissal until 6:00pm

No School, No Worries

Y Vacation Club

Enjoy your days off from school at our Y Vacation Club!  Led by fun, year-round gymnastics leaders, participants will feel the excitement of making new friends and learning gymnastics skills in similar age and skill appropriate groups.  Also included in their day will be a variety of activities including sports, crafts and games.  All participants should bring a nut-free snack and nut-free lunch with water.

 


Child Watch

Ages: 3 months and up

A safe and fun YMCA staff supervised area where parents with a Family Membership can leave their children to play and enjoy activities while they participate in programs on-site.

Days & Times:
Monday – Thursday: 8:30 am – 12:30 pm / 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm
Friday: 8:30 am – 12:30 pm / 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm
Saturday: 8:00 am – 12:30 am

Sunday:  9:00 am – 12:30 pm
