Just pick up a tracker from Member Services or the Health & Wellness Team and begin to track your fruits and veggies. Add in one type of physical activity each day for a healthy boost!

Ages 8 & Up. This special dance class will teach students how to do simple classical turns, jumps, and leaps that are often performed in the ballet, jazz, and contemporary dance styles. Dancers will learn strength and flexibility tips that can be used all year round, along with fun across the floor exercises to get both their confidence and technique taking a leap and turn for success! This is a Special One Day Only Workshop.

This is a fun, high-energy program where students learn the fundamentals of Hip Hop dance. It’s the perfect place for boys to freely release their artistic expression, movement, and experience teamwork in a fun, upbeat environment. All while jamming out the summers latest Hip Hop tunes that will keep our boys moving all summer long! Dance is definitely a boy thing! The Summer Session begins on July 6 and runs for 6 weeks.

Your fun summer workout awaits you! Our Adult Beginners Hip Hop class is the perfect way to get you cardio workout in without missing a single beat! You will learn entry-level hip hop moves that focuses on simple rhythmic ability, coordination, strength, and expression. We’re moving you to a more confident and healthier you, all while in a judgment free zone. No experience necessary! The Summer Session begins on July 6 and runs for 6 weeks.

Through the Safety Around Water program, parents and caregivers will be encouraged to help their children learn fundamental water safety and swimming skills. During the course, child will learn how to respond if they find themselves in unexpected water situations – – from how to reach the water’s surface if they submerge to safely reaching a pool’s edge or exiting any body of water.

Active Together gives you all the training you need – cardio, strength, balance and flexibility – in just one hour. Get stronger and healthier with inspiring music, adjustable dumbbells, weight plates, body weight and simple athletic movements. Getting Started Details.

The Lakewood Lightning Swim Team 2017 season is rapidly approaching! Once again we will be having one unified team, intended to benefit everyone. We will have daily practices as well as swim meets throughout the summer. Our meets are designed to give swimmers a fun opportunity to showcase their skills and demonstrate how hard they have worked in practice.

From Memorial Day to Labor Day, embark out on our lake in paddle boats or improve your golfing skills on our mini golf course. The Lakewood-Trumbull YMCA gymnastics team has been inspiring and helping children achieve their goals since the 1980’s. Through the years the Y has produced multiple State and Regional champions as well as State and Regional team championships. Our gymnasts learn, through fun and discipline, the ability to achieve their goals. We believe that if a child believes in themselves and trains hard, then anything, even the amazing sport of Gymnastics can be achieved.
