Join the YMCA Healthy Lifestyle program to adopt and maintain a healthy lifestyle by eating healthier, increasing physical activity, and weight loss.

In our Youth obsessed culture, there can be a lot of fear and anxiety connected with aging. The future may be filled with uncertainty, boredom, personal and financial loss. But aging can be a time for renewal, purpose and meaning — a tremendous opportunity for intellectual, spiritual and emotional growth. With this in mind, the Conscious Aging program looks to address these challenges and opportunities through dialogue, connections and community.

WHEN:  Thursdays,  12:15-2:15, starting January 7 for 8 weeks

FEE: $45 Facility Members / $90 Community Mmebers

10 Weeks To A Healthier You Program

Are you stuck at a weight loss plateau? Or perhaps you want to shape up but don’t know where to start? Join the new 10 week program that will help you lose weight, learn healthy eating habits, love exercise and gain a new outlook on life.  We will teach you how to experience wellness in all aspects of your life. Are you ready to create a new you?

Program Includes:

  • Workout and Nutrition Journal
  • A free 30-min personal training session per week (a $430 value!)
  • Nutritional Counseling
  • Weekly Tips and Goals
  • Weekly Weigh-Ins and measurements
  • Exercise Recommendations and Guidelines
  • 24/7 Support from your coaches and mentors

Fee:  $175  per member / $325 for family of 4 or more

Lakewood-Trumbull Gymnastics Team

The Lakewood-Trumbull YMCA gymnastics team has been inspiring and helping children achieve their goals since the 1980’s. Through the years the Y has produced multiple State and Regional champions as well as State and Regional team championships. Our gymnasts learn, through fun and discipline, the ability to achieve their goals. We believe that if a child believes in themselves and trains hard, then anything, even the amazing sport of Gymnastics can be achieved.

YMCA Diabetes Prevention Program

The YMCA’s Diabetes Prevention Program helps adults at high risk of developing type 2 diabetes reduce their risk for developing the disease by taking steps that will improve their overall health and well-being.  Research by the National Institutes of Health has shown that programs like the YMCA’s Diabetes Prevention Program can reduce the number of new cases of type 2 diabetes by 58%, and 71% in adults over the age of 60. Before and After School Programs

Located at:  Fawn Hollow and Stepney Elementary Schools.

Full week programs, part time programs and drop in programs are available.

Activities include: Homework support, Arts and Crafts, Computer time, Outdoor recreation (weather permitting), and other exciting activities.  Healthy snacks served in our afternoon program.
