Join us for an Easter Egg Hunt!

Enjoy creating a craft, playing games and hunting for Easter Eggs.  Please bring an empty egg carton to collect your eggs.

WHEN: April 3rd 12:30pm

DONATIONS:  $5 each child (ages 1+) / No more than $20 per family

Y Vacation Fun Club

Even though schools are closed on specific spring dates, the Lakewood-Trumbull YMCA is here for your child care needs. Drop your child off with our experienced staff for a fun-filled day of gymnastics, activities, arts & crafts, games, and more!  Please bring a nut-free snack and lunch. Pre-registration is required.

In collaboration with the CMAK (Chase Michael Anthony Kowalski) Foundation, the Woodruff Family YMCA is proud to present a free six week, Monday-Friday, life-changing triathlon program.  Have your child learn to Run, Bike, and Swim like Chase did!  Not only will your child be incredibly active over the summer, but they will make new friends and develop a healthy confidence they will carry for the rest of their lives.

WHEN:  June 22 – August 1.  Your child will participate in an official Triathlon Event on August 1

Lakewood Lightning Swim Team

Ages: 6 – 15 years

The Lakewood Lightning Swim Team 2015 season is rapidly approaching!  Once again we will be having one unified team, intended to benefit everyone.  We will have daily practices as well as swim meets throughout the summer.  Our meets are designed to give swimmers a fun opportunity to showcase their skills and demonstrate how hard they have worked in practice.

Registration: Registration will begin on March 1.  Online registration is unavailable for the Lakewood Lightning swim team.

Relax, Explore and Play at Our Outdoor YMCA

Outdoor CenterOur 47 acre facility includes 3 pools, 2 tennis courts a pond for fishing as well as boating, basketball, mini golf, and the pool side grill.  Located at 204 Stanley Road in Monroe, the Y Family Outdoor Center is open from Memorial Day through Labor Day.

The Lakewood-Trumbull YMCA Family Outdoor Center has been serving the community since 1959.   Whether you are looking for a relaxing environment to read and lay in the sun, take part in swimming lessons, or our summer swim team, or bring your family for a great experience of fun and exploration.  The Lakewood-Trumbull Y has something for everyone.  With a 6 lane 25 yard lap pool with water basketball, a 45ft. by 25 ft. family pool and our kiddy pool there is enough water to keep you cool in the summer heat.  We have tables and chairs with umbrellas for gathering and lounge chairs for relaxing and men’s and women’s locker rooms.

While your kids enjoy a day at YMCA Camp Tepee at the YMCA Family Outdoor Center, you can enjoy the pool until camp is out and then spend time as a family once the camp has ended.  Camp Tepee operates from 9:00-3:00.

Throughout the summer we will invite everyone to participate in nature hikes through our trails, try the zip line and climbing wall.  Enjoy our facility after hours for special events which include movie nights at the pool, 4th of July Great American Bash, Y after Dark, BINGO, end of Summer Luau and much more.

Endless Summer Fun

Camp Swim LessonCamp Tepee, Gymnastics Camp and Sports Clinics

You can expect all of the annual favorites including swimming, arts and crafts, archery, sports clinics and gymnastics programs.  Our programs are designed for children from 3-15 years old.

The zip-line was a big hit last year.  We love the opportunity to give our campers an adrenaline rush!

Once again the Discovery Campers will be part of the Camp Tepee’s full day camp program.  Pre and post care options are available for all our campers!

Camp Tepee will also offer a Sibling Discount!

There’s something for every child!  Choose between Camp Tepee, Gymnastics Camp or a Sports Clinic.  Whatever summer program you choose, your camper is sure to have fun, make new friends, grow as a person and make memories that will last a lifetime.

YMCA Diabetes Prevention Program

The YMCA’s Diabetes Prevention Program helps adults at high risk of developing type 2 diabetes reduce their risk for developing the disease by taking steps that will improve their overall health and well-being.  Research by the National Institutes of Health has shown that programs like the YMCA’s Diabetes Prevention Program can reduce the number of new cases of type 2 diabetes by 58%, and 71% in adults over the age of 60. Before and After School Programs

Located at:  Fawn Hollow and Stepney Elementary Schools.

Full week programs, part time programs and drop in programs are available.

Activities include: Homework support, Arts and Crafts, Computer time, Outdoor recreation (weather permitting), and other exciting activities.  Healthy snacks served in our afternoon program.

Y Fun Club

Experience the Y Fun Club when Trumbull/Monroe schools are canceled due to weather, or there is an emergency closing and you still have to work.  The Y can provide your child a safe half or full day option packed with activities.  Have your child experience gymnastics, floor hockey, dance and more.  Bring a nut free snack (two if in full day) and a nut free lunch.  Come have fun at the Y!
