Our Y Night event will include Music, Pool Games,   Inflatable Fun, Gym Games, pizza, ice cream sundaes and a raffle for a gift certificate to fun places in the area.  Bring your swimsuit, towel, and pool float to the party.  This is a community event so bring your friends and join the   party!  Space is limited, sign up early.

When: January 28, 2017 / February 25, 2017 / March 25, 2017 / April 22, 2017

Time: 6:00-9:00pm

Where: Hamden/North Haven YMCA

Who: 5th and 6th Graders

Fee: In advance–Y Members $12 / Community Participants $15 / At the door, $20 CASH for everyone!

Even though schools are closed, the Hamden/North Haven YMCA is here for your child care needs offering our Y Vacation Club program.  Each day we will travel to a fun destination.  So drop your child off with our experienced staff for a fun-filled day of nature, games, activities, arts & crafts, swimming, and more!  Please bring a nut-free lunch or money for our lunch stop, a bathing suit, and a towel. Space is limited, preregistration is required, sign up today!

When: 7:30 am – 6:00 pm. The bus will leave the Y at 7:30am on December 28 for the Bronx Zoo, please plan accordingly.

Fees:  Member: $50.00 per child, per day / Community member: $75.00 per child, per day

Additional Info:  Bring a bathing suit and towel for swimming, lunch, and active clothing should be worn on this day.  This program reaches its enrollment capacity quickly; register early to secure your child’s space.  All participants not currently in the before/after school program will need to complete a registration packet as well as provide a current health form and medication/medication authorization form, if needed, prior to attending the Y Vacation Club.

Stepping Stones

Ages 2 – 4 years old

Advancing on the fun had as a Playtime Pal, kids are introduced to an environment that prepares them for their first year in pre-school. Our team will play games and create a fun-filled experience that will get your kids excited for school! Kids are encouraged to bring a light and healthy snack with them.

Ages 2 – 4 years old

As our staff team creates an ever changing fun atmosphere to introduce the tumbling world of gymnastics, they will also focus on the development of your child’s balance and overall body awareness/coordination.

School Age Child Care

Every school day the Hamden/North Haven Y provides a safe, healthy and enriching environment for the children of Hamden and North Haven in our state-licensed child care programs.  While children are in the care of our trained and certified staff at their elementary schools, you have peace of mind at work knowing that your child is engaged in activities that will enhance youth development, healthy living and social responsibility.

Care 4 Kids helps low to moderate income families in Connecticut pay for child care costs. This program is sponsored by the State of Connecticut’s Department of Social Services (also called DSS).  To learn more about Care 4 Kids, take a look at this website. YMCA Fun Club

If Hamden public schools are closed, children enrolled in Before and After School programs may attend our full day Y Fun Club Program.  Fees are paid in advance only.  Parents provide transportation to the Y.  Children need to bring a lunch, snacks, and a drink.  If conditions warrant an early closing, we will notify parents and information will be provided to WELI Storm Center 960 AM.

Time: 7:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.

When:  When Hamden Public School are closed for the ENTIRE DAY due to weather or another unplanned event.

Cost 2 day packages:  Member:  $60 / Community Member $70

Child Watch

Ages: 3 months – 10 years

A safe and fun YMCA staff supervised area where parents with a Family Membership can leave their children to play and enjoy activities while they participate in programs on-site.

Days & Times:

Monday, Wednesday and Friday: 9:00 am – 12:00 pm

Monday 5:30 pm – 8:30 pm

Tuesday – Thursday 5:15 pm – 7:30 pm

Saturday 8:45 am – 11:30 pm
