After School
Every school day the Hamden/North Haven Y provides a safe, healthy and enriching environment for the children of Hamden and North Haven in our state-licensed child care programs. While children are in the care of our trained and certified staff at their elementary schools, you have peace of mind at work knowing that your child is engaged in activities that will enhance youth development, healthy living and social responsibility.

Care 4 Kids helps low to moderate income families in Connecticut pay for child care costs. This program is sponsored by the State of Connecticut’s Department of Social Services (also called DSS).

Vacation Fun Club
Enjoy your days off from school at our Vacation Fun Club! The YMCA is pleased to offer a program for children in Kindergarten through 6th grade. Our program offers a variety of field trips, games, sports, arts-&-crafts, songs, swimming and much, much more!
Time:
7:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.

Community Members: $53
YMCA Snow Day Program
If Hamden public schools are closed, children enrolled in Before and After School programs may attend our full day Snow Program. Snow Day Program fees are paid in $75.00 packages (3 days) in advance only. Parents provide transportation to the Y. Children need to bring a lunch, snacks, and a drink. If conditions warrant an early closing, we will notify parents and information will be provided to WELI Storm Center 960 AM.
Time: 7:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
When:
When Hamden Public School are closed for the ENTIRE DAY due to SNOW
Cost:
$75 for 3 days
Child Watch
Ages: 3 months – 10 years
A safe and fun YMCA staff supervised area where parents with a Family Membership can leave their children to play and enjoy activities while they participate in programs on-site.

Monday: 9:00 – 11:45 am & 5:30 – 7:30 pm
Tuesday: 9:00 – 11:00 am & 6:00 – 8:00 pm
Wednesday: 9:00 – 11:45 am & 5:30 – 7:30 pm
Thursday: 6:00 – 8:00 pm
Friday: 8:30 – 10:30 am
Saturday: 8:00 am – 12:00 pm
