Summer Day Camp, like many Y programs, is about learning skills, developing character, making friends and having fun. But few environments are as special as camp, where kids become a community as they learn both how to be more independent and how to contribute to a group as they engage in physical, social and educational activities.
Camp teaches self-reliance, a love for nature and the outdoors and the development of attitudes and practices that build character and leadership—all amidst the fun of songs, games, arts & crafts, and meaningful relationships. Y counselors are dedicated to making sure camp is an amazing experience for every camper. The Y offers experiences for youth entering Pre K through ninth grade with a Counselor in Training program for 14-15 year olds.

If your child is 14-15 years of age, they may be interested in our Counselor in Training program. In our CIT program, they will receive valuable job interviewing skills, child care training, leadership experience, teambuilding and problem solving skills. The Fairfield Y Youth Sports program is built on values, sportsmanship, and FUNdamentals. Check out our new age groupings and progressive sports classes. Children will have fun while learning basic skill development and game experience.
We now offer BADMINTON/DODGEBALL, ARCHERY, LACROSSE, PRIVATE ONE ON ONE BASKETBALL LESSONS (By Appointment), YOUTH BASKETBALL, FLOOR HOCKEY, MULTI SPORTS and WE JUST ADDED INDOOR SOCCER!!
CLASSES HELD AT YMCA
Sports classes will now be in 2 stages. The first 4 weeks will focus on FUNdamentals and drills. The second 4 weeks will focus on preparation for an end of the session scrimmage/real time game play. Certificates will be handed out at the end of the session!
Classes are taught by caring and professional YMCA staff who are also licensed by the National Youth Sports Coaching Association. Your coaches, Ryan and Carlos, are looking forward to phenomenal a Session!

The YMCA’s Diabetes Prevention Program helps adults at high risk of developing type 2 diabetes reduce their risk for developing the disease by taking steps that will improve their overall health and well-being. Research by the National Institutes of Health has shown that programs like the YMCA’s Diabetes Prevention Program can reduce the number of new cases of type 2 diabetes by 58%, and 71% in adults over the age of 60. TRX is the newest way to get your body in the best shape of your life. TRX is a suspension training system that combats your body, challenging your strength, power, balance and flexibility. TRX training is offered through personal training, small group workouts and/or classes.
TRX Classes offered Tuesday at 9:30 am, Wednesday at 11:30 am, Thursday at 11:30 am and 6:00 pm.
