The Fairfield YMCA is a cornerstone in the Fairfield community.  Our facility brings personal wellness programs, child care, aquatics and swim lessons, youth programs and camps and adult sports into the reach of all Fairfield community residents. Please take a few minutes to explore our facility. Safety Around Water

Keep kids and families safer

Register for our fun, five day, free community wide program which teaches youth water safety skills.  Children will learn how to respond if they find themselves in unexpected water situations – from how to reach the water’s surface if they submerge to safely reaching a pool’s edge or exiting a body of water.  (Similar skills are taught in Y Swim Lesson Programs.)

AGES: Children, preschool and up

WHEN:  June 15 – June 19

Endless Summer Fun

FFD Camp PicBeach Camp is back along with Half Day Swim!

Beach camp is back for another summer. Campers will enjoy a fun relaxed day at one of the five Fairfield beaches. Some of the activities will include swimming, fishing, crabbing, clamming, volleyball, and kayaking. This program will run all summer, from the hours of 9-3 and drop off and pick up will be at the Fairfield YMCA.

Half Day Swim is another program held all summer at the Fairfield YMCA for children from the age of 3-9. Activities will include 2 swim lessons each day, outdoor play and snack.

YMCA Diabetes Prevention Program

The YMCA’s Diabetes Prevention Program helps adults at high risk of developing type 2 diabetes reduce their risk for developing the disease by taking steps that will improve their overall health and well-being.  Research by the National Institutes of Health has shown that programs like the YMCA’s Diabetes Prevention Program can reduce the number of new cases of type 2 diabetes by 58%, and 71% in adults over the age of 60. Wellness Center

Our Wellness Center includes state of the art Life Fitness cardiovascular and strength training equipment and a stretching area for flexibility and functional exercises.

To help you meet your wellness goals, all full facility members receive free Fit Training with a certified Personal Trainer.  We’ll teach you how to use the equipment efficiently and safely.  Stop by the Welcome Center Desk or call 203 255 2834 to schedule your appointment.

We offer TRX Suspension Training

TRX is the newest way to get your body in the best shape of your life. TRX is a suspension training system that combats your body, challenging your strength, power, balance and flexibility. TRX training is offered through personal training, small group workouts and/or classes.

TRX Classes offered Tuesday at 9:30 am, Wednesday at 11:30 am, Thursday at 11:30 am and 6:00 pm.

Personal Training

Work one on one with a Fairfield YMCA Personal Trainer. Whether it is performance or health related, the Fairfield Y’s trainers can design the right training program for you to optimize your health and reach your wellness goals. All Fairfield YMCA Personal Training staff are professionals who are fully certified through nationally recognized organizations and several staff have MA’s in Kinesiology and Physiology or Athletic Training.

Cost: Personal Training Packages (payment plans available):

  • 3 Session Package $200
  • 6 Session Package $380
  • 10 Session Package $650
  • 20 Session package $1,200
