Our land and water based programs are led by our team of dedicated and professional instructors who are well versed in the latest in health and fitness instruction. Group Exercise Class Descriptions
Aquatic Fitness Classes
Aqua-Fitness
Put a little pep in your step and change up your land workouts with the Aqua-Fitness class. This is an all-inclusive class that covers flexibility, range of motion, and cardiovascular aquatic exercises. The instructor will utilize the resistance of the water as well as your natural buoyancy to maintain a high heart rate throughout the 45 minute class.
Total Aqua Tone
Utilizing both the shallow and deep water, each class will focus on toning your upper and lower body while using the resistance of the water. Join us in this low-impact workout!
Pre and Post Natal Aqua-Aerobics
Specifically designed for the needs of pregnant and post-pregnancy women. This class includes a warm up routine with stretching, low impact aerobic exercises, stretch and tone exercises, and a cool down and relaxation period.
Land Based Group Exercise Classes
Standard Classes
Classes which are free of charge to YMCA Facility Members; Non-Members pay an additional fee by purchasing a 1 class pass or 10 class pass
Rise N’ Shine: Get your heart, body, and mind moving with this early morning motivator, calisthenics, low-weight movements and great atmosphere
Firm & Tone: Class utilizes steps and stability ball exercises for a great all-around workout
Total Body: Fun combination of cardio and strength training. Exercises include walking with weights, stationary training, abdominal routines, and running.
Strength & Sculpt: A class that teaches weight training basics to ensure proper form. What is learned in this class can be replicated on one’s own.
Cardio Fusion: A blend of cardio using the step & strength training, integrating mat-pilates, balance and core conditioning. This 45 minute class will have you coming back for more.
Specialty Classes
Class comes with an added fee for both YMCA Facility Members and Non-Members and runs one time per week
Pilates-Mat: Work and strengthen core muscle groups efficiently and enhance body performance and posture. Utilize concentration, centering and control to make a deep mind/body connection.
Tai Chi: A series of slow, relaxing movements in coordination with breath, postural integration and mental imagery. Helps to manage arthritis, high blood pressure, back pain, diabetes, and stress among other things.
Yoga-Advanced Beginner: A dynamic flowing sequence of postures linking breath and movement. Practice begins with postures for warm up then moves into a challenging series to build core strength, stability, and endurance.
Yoga-Beginner: A less challenging series of movements. For beginner and first time yoga participants.
Fitness Value Class
Specialty Class that runs twice per week; participants have the option of enrolling in both days at a discounted price but also have the option of enrolling just 1 day per week.

Zumba: Dance your way to a fitter you with a class that gets you in shape with exciting and unique Latin moves and rhythms.
