USA Seishin Karate
This family oriented, traditional Japanese Martial Arts program has been at the Fairfield YMCA for almost 40 years. Karate is designed to introduce both young children and beginner adults to the fundamentals of Karate, as well as provide continuing development for advanced students. Karate developes a sustaining Martial Art attitude, teaches inner strength and respect with a focus on etiquette, gestures, and philosophy in ever class, at each age and level.
Classes are taught in a supportive environment that places a high level of expectation on each studen, in addition to rigorous training, there is a strong focus on the teachings of Martial Art philosophy. This is presented in a way that both very young beginers, as well as adult students can understand. Parents are encouraged to watch or even join classes to learn alongside their children and support them.
Ninja Kids
The Ninja Kids program is specifically designed for younger students, ages 4-14. Once Comfortable in the Martial Arts environment, Ninja Kids are invited to train in the more advances Karate program along with older students.
Women’s Self Defense and Bullying Seminars
These special courses teach participants coping strategies and advanced thinking styles to better handle difficult self defense situations they may encounter.
