Strong Kids

The Central Connecticut Coast YMCA is dedicated to helping children reach adulthood equipped for the future; providing families with adequate childcare and recreational activities they can enjoy together; helping communities stay together to build a safer and healthier environment. Our future depends on the strength of our children, our families and our community.

For this reason, every YMCA program is focused on fulfilling the specific needs of the communities we serve. During 2009, our efforts to build strong kids, strong families and strong communities resulted in significant progress toward our vision including awards of $2,585,229 in direct financial assistance to more than 9,500 children, individuals and families, giving them YMCA opportunities they could not otherwise afford.
