Emergency Shelter
Alpha Community Services operates the only family emergency shelter in the City of Bridgeport, Families in Transition. We are there for the families who suddenly find themselves without a home or anywhere else to turn. Transitional Housing
The Jean Wallace Transitional Living Program is traditionally for families who need additional case management support. Residents may stay for up to two years before returning to their own apartment. We currently have 6 units of transitional housing….
Permanent Supportive Housing
Permanent Supportive housing is available for individuals and families who are ready to live independently but may still need an extra hand from time to time. Social Services are available on site to provide crisis intervention, help negotiate delivery of services by mainstream providers, and help individuals and families access more specialized services from community providers. Our Supportive Housing units are found at the West Village Apartments in New Haven and Fairfield Apartments, Crescent Apartments, Harrison Apartments, Washington Park Apartments and Areyto Apartments in Bridgeport.
