Team weight lifting challenge
Last year, Antoinette raised over $2000 doing “Burpees for a Cause”. This year, we’d like you join as a team!
When: Saturday, March 24, in the Fitness Center.
Donations can be made to Lakewood-Trumbull YMCA Annual Campaign.
In 60 minutes, as a team led by Antoinette, the challenge is to lift a total of 100,000 pounds to raise money for our Annual Campaign. The money goes to support programs that the Y provides to our members and our community, such as Race4Chase, MS Yoga and many others. Through your support, we provide the funds needed to provide recreational learning and life-enriching experiences. Every gift counts and every dollar raised goes directly to help families in our community.
Each person participating is asked to donate $30. Then motivate friends and family to donate either a flat donation or a per each pound lifted amount. The goal is to raise $3000 as a team.
How do we lift 100,000 pounds? Susie weighs 130 pounds. In one hour, if she does 100 burpees, she has lifted 1300 pounds. 100 squats is 13,000 pounds. If she does both, she herself has lifted 2600 pounds. Your participation will go a long way! Antoinette needs you, the Y’s programs need you, and as team we can reach our goal!
