Full Day Child Care

Find Your Potential. Find Your Y.

AGES: 8 weeks – 5 years

At the Y, we offer a safe, nurturing environment for infants and children to learn and grow. The Y supports their social-emotional, cognitive and physical development. When you know your child is well cared for, you and your family have the opportunity to focus at work, plan healthy meals, enjoy family activities and establish a routine. Please take a look at our brochure: Valley YMCA 2024-25 ELC Brochure

Our programs are NAEYC accredited and state-licensed allowing parents to go to work with peace of mind knowing that their children are being cared for in a safe, structured and fun environment.

Safety is our first priority. All Central Connecticut Coast YMCA child care programs are following all the guidelines set by the CDC, CT Office of Early Childhood (OEC), Y-USA, and other sources to ensure our policies and procedures are aligned to keep our children, staff and volunteers healthy and safe.

Our programs develop weekly curriculum with age-appropriate activities and indoor and outdoor learning experiences. Program highlights include science, music, and movement, and a variety of learning centers as well as an outdoor playground with a play structure, sand/water table, music center with cosmic roof, and tricycle track with pretend gas station and drive-through.

Our center is also a School Readiness Site for Ansonia and Derby that serves 3 and 4 year old children. Fees are based on a sliding fee scale.

These programs take place at our child care center, 32 Howard Avenue in Ansonia, 203 732 7778
